One of my girlfriends has a doppler, and wanted to try and find baby Robertson's heartbeat in my belly! At first I said, noooooo way! Because I knew if she didn't find the heartbeat, I would freak out that something was wrong (even though I had already heard the heartbeat at our 6-week ultrasound.) But the more I thought about it, my friend is not a doctor and if she didn't find the heartbeat, it would be because she was doing it wrong.... not that the heartbeat wasn't there. So okay, we went to her house, and there I was laying on her couch letting her play doctor on my belly haha. At first it kept picking up my heartbeat, BUT THEN.... 148 bpm, magic. I don't think I will ever get used to hearing my baby's heartbeat, simply amazing. Now, I want a doppler so I can listen to my baby all day, everyday :)
